A more beautiful question

They say a marketers job is to understand your customer so well, that you 'know what they want, even before they do'.

I used to think it was hokey, but now I get it.

You learn to ask better questions and fall in love with the problems of your market...

Honestly marketers are part therapists....

we ask a lot questions, not not accept surface level answers

read between the lines,

(and remember that all people are biased) not on purpose.

and sometimes,

people are just confused most of the time and don't really know what they want!

It's my job to find

to understand the needs that they can't even articulate, or know they have.

understand the PROGRESS they want to make

their dreamstates

their fears...

their values

where they spend time, who they talk to, about what, and with what words?

I fall in love with their problems (not your solutions)
